Nitties secures his PGA Tour card for 2009
James Nitties is the only Australian from the final stage of qualifying to earn his PGA Tour card for 2009. The Novacastrian shot rounds of 69-63-69-70-67-70 to finish second in a six round event on the PGA Tour Q-School that has been described as a 6-day funeral. The Top 25 earn the right to play on the Tour with the big boys next year.
There will be 17 Australians with US PGA Tour Cards next year. They are:
