Nicolas Colsaerts smashes longest ever drive on European Tour
Nicolas Colsaerts smashed his drive a long way and turned a long par-5 into a short par-4.
Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts set the record for the longest ever drive at a European Tour event overnight.
During his opening round over the ISPS HANDA Wales Open at Celtic Manor, Colsaerts hit his drive 447 yards (408 metres) at the par-5 18th hole! The drive meant Colsaerts was left with a gap wedge to the green at the 575-yard closing hole and made an easy eagle.
Even Colsaerts admitted the hole was playing downwind and he got a good bounce but this is still ridiculous.
