My Inside Golf piece with Dan from The Dan Plan
The full article of my chat with Dan from the Dan Plan is now online to read.
I wrote a piece for the latest issue of Inside Golf about Dan McLaughlin – better known as Dan from The Dan Plan. In case you haven’t caught the article in Inside Golf at your golf club or golf shop, here it is online for your reading pleasure.
Dan is undertaking a project that sees him dedicating 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to golf with the intention of becoming an expert in the field – competing in the world of professional golf. With very little experience swinging a golf club when he began the journey, Dan’s progress is already impressive,
It was great to meet someone who is undertaking such an endeavour. Dan’s demeanour and outlook on the ambitious plan surprised me.
At 5’9”, Dan is by all appearances just an average bloke. He has an unassuming appearance that is complemented with a calm, assured demeanour and a great sense of humour. Certainly not someone I would have expected to attempt such a momentous challenge and I wonder if this subtle projection plays a part in the skepticism towards his lofty goal – to be competitive in the professional golf ranks.
