Michael Campbell’s best golf shot – with some help from Craig Parry: video
In a short video with Golfing World, the 2005 US Open champion Michael Campbell recounted his best shot in golf.
It came when Campbell was playing the road hole at St Andrews during the third round of the 1995 Open Championship. Faced with an enormously difficult lie, the Kiwi managed an extraordinary golf shot after recalling some timely advice from Craig Parry during the earlier practice rounds.
Campbell went on to finish in a tie for third place in 1995 after taking a two shot lead into the final round. John Daly won the tournament, beating Constantino Rocca in a memorable finish.

No doubt that is a high quality golf shot, left with no option but to go at the pin may have helped.
