In case you missed it Matt Jones played a remarkable shot from the hospitality tent during his third round of the PGA Championship.
Matt Jones arrived at the ninth tee with a two-stroke lead during the third round of the 2015 PGA Championship. His driver was getting a little wild and managed to make par after a sliced tee shot the previous hole.
The tee shot on the ninth went the other way and finished up in a hospitality tent. Faced with a drop into some deep, sloping fescue or to play it as it lies, Jones elected to play the shot and played it almost as well as you could.
Jones couldn’t quite get up and down for bogey, just his second for the tournament up until that point.
The 35-year-old dropped four shots on his final four holes to slip out of the lead but is just five shots behind leader Jason Day and certainly not out of the tournament.
