Learn to hit inside-out with this strange, closed stance golf drill
If you’re sick of hitting a slice, or even a sweet baby fade. Or if you simply want to get better at hitting a draw on demand, this may be the golf drill for you.
It’s been a while since we featured one of The Golf Doctor’s eloquent practice drills for a while but when this one piqued our interest last week, we just had to share it to a wider audience.
Here, Fitzy offers a drill with confidence: “Give it a go. It’s never failed me.”
If you want to work on getting the golf ball to move from right to left (for the right-handed golfer) this is worth watching. Placing the right leg back and setting up an extremely closed stance will get the downswing coming more inside and working across the golf ball.
And it’s worth watching right til the end. We particularly love Fitzy’s story towards the end of the video about a golfer that took a practice drill on to the golf course and ended up winning the comp.
