Justin Rose outlasts Adam Scott to win Farmers Insurance Open: video highlights

World number one Justin Rose claimed his 10th career PGA Tour victory at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Justin Rose claimed a two-stroke victory over Adam Scott winning the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines with a four round total of 21-under par.

The three stroke lead going into the final round soon evaporated with Rose dropping three shots in his opening five holes. Scott could not take full advantage of the slow start maing a bogey of his own at the fifth hole.

It was only over the final four holes did Scott manage to apply some pressure to Rose. Scott birdied his final four holes to make things interesting.

Rose made a clutch birdie at the par-3 16th hole and stuck his approach shot to a foot at the par-5 18th hole to ensure victory and surpass the $50million mark in career earnings on the PGA Tour.

Coincidentally, Scott also passed this mark becoming the first Australian to do so courtesy of his second place finish. It was Scott’s best finish on the PGA Tour since 2016.

It was a good week for Australian with four Aussie golfers finishing in the top-13; Jason Day finished in a tie for fifth at 14-under, Cameron Smith finished in a tie for ninth at 12-under and Matt Jones was a stroke further back in a tie for 13th place.
