Jason Day and Cameron Tringale win Franklin Templeton Shootout: video
Jason Day has shared the spoils with his playing partner Cameron Tringale at the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Florida.
The Franklin Templeton Shootout is an unofficial PGA tour event that is hosted by Greg Norman. And while it’s tempting (and very easy) to dismiss it as a made-for-TV, mickey-mouse tournament, the winners grab some serious money.
The event is held over three days with different playing formats: a scramble on day one, alternate shot on day two followed by a third day of better ball. Jason Day and his playing partner Cameron Tringale won the event by one shot from Matt Kuchar and Harris English and netted for themselves $385,000 each.
Let’s hope Day keeps himself in good health for a successful 2015.
