Grab your tickets for Australia’s biggest golf tournaments in 2014

Australia’s summer of golf is just around the corner and with it comes the big golf tournaments featuring some of the world’s best players.

The  world’s number one ranked golfer Rory McIlroy will be in the country to play the Australian Open in Sydney in late November.

After victories at the 2014 Open Championship and PGA Championship, McIlroy was part of the winning Ryder Cup team and he jets into Australia to defend his Australian Open title at The Australian Golf Club.

Eager to make sure it doesn’t happen again is world number two Adam Scott who will also be playing The Australian Open. Scott will also be a part of the field at the Australian Masters at The Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne in November as well as playing in the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines Golf Club on the Gold Cast in December.

Jordan Spieth will be making his Australian début at the Australian Open in Sydney. Spieth is without doubt the best young golfer to come out of the United States for many years and will be one of the favourites to win at The Australian after a stellar second place finish at The Masters and a great performance at the Ryder Cup.

There are plenty of other big names heading Down Under too.

Major winners Charl Schwartzel, Jason Dufner and Geoff Ogilvy have all confirmed their appearances at the Perth International at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in just under three weeks time. The tournament also boasts a field including Ryder Cup player Victor Dubuisson, 2014 PGA Tour winner Steven Bowditch, Brett Rumford and Wade Ormsby.
