Golf Technology: Testing a 1998 Driver against a 2018 Driver
How much better is the latest golf technology when you compare it to 20-year-old equipment?
Maybe because of the distance debate, or maybe because it’s just cool to see but there are a few comparisons going around between old and new golf equipment. And this golf review between the old and the new from Rick Shiels is particularly fun.
Shiels takes a 2018 Ping G400 driver (complete with turbulators) and pits it against a turbulator-free 1998 Ping TISI Driver. It’s not quite as scientific as it could be but he does a good job of showing the advances of modern golf technology.
