Cameron Smith has added another trophy to his name with a resounding victory at the LIV Golf Bedminster event, marking his second win of the year.
Smith’s exceptional performance catapulted him to a historic triumph, outshining his closest contender, Anirban Lahiri, by an impressive seven-stroke margin, the largest in LIV Golf’s short history.
The triumph was the second LIV Golf victory for Cam Smith this year, following his win in London just last month.
But unlike in London, Smith’s mastery wasn’t just a lone success. Comprising standout players Jediah Morgan, Marc Leishman, and Matt Jones, the Rippers GC, led by Smith, delivered an solid team performance, securing the team title with an impressive 11-stroke advantage.
Notably, Abraham Ancer, Patrick Reed, and Dean Burmester shared the limelight, tying for third place with solid finishes at 4 under par.
The LIV Golf tour will take a break for a month before returning to Chicago in late September. Rich Harvest Farms, about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago will host the next event September 22-24, 2023.
