Australian Open one week away; iPhone app released
Australian Open organisers are making next week’s event an interactive one.
We’re now just a week away from the first round of the Emirates Australian Open which is being hosted by The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney.
The field is the best you’ll see in Australia this summer with Justin Rose, Adam Scott, John Senden, Geoff Ogilvy, Marc Leishman and legend Tom Watson in the field. That’s not to mention a whole host of other big names including American Kyle Stanley, 14-year-old Chinese prodigy Guan Tianlang and newly turned professional Jake Higgnbottom who won the New Zealand Open last week.
Tournament organisers have put their foot to the floor to make the tournament an internet, social media experience.
The Emirates Australian Open iPhone app is now ready to download and features live scoring, tee times, stats, up-to-date tweets, and a whole range of other things.
Also if you want to keep up to date via your desktop computer, the Australian Open’s very own Stackla experience has been created as a social media hub for the event. Check it out and keep up to date in the build up to the tournament which begins next Thursday, December 6.
Get your Emirates Australian Open tickets here and remember Channel Seven are covering all four days from The Lakes.
