Are golf clubs targeting the wrong generation?
With 50% of Australian golf clubs in financial distress, maybe they’re overlooking a generation of golfers they really should be targeting?
In my latest article for Golf Link I discuss whether golf clubs are neglecting a generation of golfers who are not just keen to join a golf club, but are most likely the ones who have the most time and money to do so.
But strangely, Gen-X is not the target audience for golf club memberships. Very few golf clubs are trying to lure golfers over the age of 35 with any sort of incentive, and if you’re over 40, you’re lucky if you’re offered a free lunch.
