Aaron Baddeley is back in the winner’s circle with victory on PGA tour: video highlights
Playing for his PGA Tour card, Aaron Baddeley has won the Barbasol Championship on the fourth playoff hole ensuring he will stay on the world’s most lucrative golf tour for a few more years yet.
While world golf had its eyes fixed on Royal Troon, Aaron Baddeley was playing the Barbasol Championship on a past-champion exemption. Swing issues have plagued Baddeley for many years and has struggled to maintain any consistency for more than a few weeks.
A slow start saw Baddeley make the cut 11 shots behind the leaders at the RTJ Trail Grand National golf course in Alabama. However the two-time Australian Open champion put his foot down over the weekend to card round of 64 and 66 to get him into a playoff with South Korea’s Si Woo Kim.
Both players traded pars for three sudden-death playoff holes before Baddeley rolled in a 24-foot birdie putt on the fourth to (quite literally) run to victory.
