Watch Si Woo Kim make the longest ever hole-in-one in Open Championship history
Si Woo Kim made history at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon by making a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole, which measures 238 yards.
Playing the 17th hole during his third round, Kim’s shot was the first recorded ace on this hole during the 10 times Royal Troon has hosted The Open. It is also the longest hole-in-one made in the history of The Open Championship.
Kim’s superbly struck 3-iron faded and bounced once before making its way on to the green and rolling into the hole. Kim had no idea the ball had gone into the hole until he heard the spectators’ cheers.
