Pine Valley once again reigns supreme on this list of the world’s top-100 golf courses.

Golf.com have released their biennial list of the world’s top-100 golf courses and like all subjective lists, their just asking for discussion/debate and just a bit of fun.

The ultra-exclusive Pine Valley has once again been rated as the world’s best golf course – as it has since 1985 according to Golf.com. It was followed by Cypress Point, The Old Course at St Andrews, Augusta National and Royal Country Down.

The highest ranked Australian golf course is Royal Melbourne West which was ranked not far out of the top-10 in 12th place.

Australian golf courses listed in Golf.com’s Top-100 Golf Courses in the World 2015:

85. Barnbougle Lost Farm
73. Ellerston
37. New South Wales
36. Barnbougle Dunes
28. Kingston Heath
12. Royal Melbourne (West)

First impressions:
Royal Melbourne is nowhere near as visually spectacular as Pebble Beach, but it’s a much better golf course. (Pebble Beach was ranked #7).
There is quite a large gap (on this list) between Barnbougle Dunes and Barnbougle Lost Farm. I’d argue they should be ranked much more closely.
There aren’t too many publicly accessible golf courses on the list; which makes the listings of the two Barnbougle courses an amazing achievement.
