Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of Queenstown, New Zealand, Jack’s Point Golf Course offers an unforgettable golfing experience.

The majestic snow-capped peaks and the tranquil Lake Wakatipu provide a stunning backdrop that can easily steal your attention from the game. Despite being ranked sixth among New Zealand’s top golf courses, Jack’s Point has remained somewhat of a hidden gem, known mainly to locals who appreciate its beauty and challenge.

Lesser known than some of the other sandbelt golf courses, Melbourne’s Southern Golf Club is worth a visit.

It feels ridiculous now but as I wandered towards the first tee of Southern Golf Club last November I fantasised about stumbling into Tiger Woods.

You see Tiger had just played his first round at the Australian Masters that morning and maybe, just maybe he was looking for some quieter surroundings in the sandbelt region of Melbourne to fine tune his game.

This simple golf course brings with it loads of fun and incredible views.

The Gerringong Golf Club lies on a stretch of road joining the towns of Gerringong and Gerroa. If you’re a golfer and you’ve ever taken this road, you must remember the course. Placed in an open valley that stretches down to the ocean, it’s quite a sight.

Mount Lofty is the highest point in the Mount Lofty Ranges overlooking Adelaide. A nice restaurant and cafe sit on the site and is generally a nice spot to spend a part of the day.

A short drive away is the Mount Lofty Golf Club and as it’s situated in the Adelaide Hills, you’d expect it to be…well, hilly.

The course claims to be Australia’s most beautiful golf course and our answer to Augusta National. 

After a rap like that, I was almost sure to be disappointed in Bonville Golf Resort. I wasn’t. Some claim the layout is not that fantastic but with a spectacular looking hole laid out before you on every tee it’s easy to forget.

Werribee Park Golf Club has a country golf feel that is located only 35 minutes from Melbourne.

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Victoria, the Werribee Park Golf Club may not hold a prominent spot on the roster of eminent golf courses, but its unique charm and historical significance certainly warrant a visit for golf enthusiasts.
