Light plane crashes into Liverpool Golf Club lake

Sydney’s Liverpool golf Club has a brand new water feature courtesy of a light plane crash.

The ABC have reported that a light plane had to make an emergency landing this afternoon with engine failure and finished up in the lake next to the 10th hole at the Liverpool Golf Club in Sydney’s south-west.

Golf game format: What is Gentsomes?

Not so big on ambrose golf? Maybe Gentsomes is more your cup of tea.

Here is a golf format that is a little obscure because it’s not played as often as the more popular Ambrose format.

Similar to Ambrose, a Gentsomes team is made up of four players and all players play their own golf ball from the tee.

“Mark Twain” was wrong; Golf is a good walk unspoiled

Mark Twain is often quoted as having said that “golf is a good walk spoiled”, but the problem is it’s wrong. It’s certainly not in any of Twain’s written works, in fact there are no records of him ever uttering it at all.

Golfer breaks ribs attempting ridiculous bunker shot: video

This is tough to watch, especially once you’ve heard the punchline, but that’s how it was told to me by none other than the unfortunate golfer himself.

This video has been bouncing around the internet for a while now but it turns out it this is the bunker on the fourth hole at St Andrews Beach and it was Colyn Graham who attempted to play the shot.
