WATCH Pro golfers skim the ball across water and up a ramp

Inspired by the tradition at The Masters, a nearest-the-pin golf challenge with a twist was set up at the floating, island green at the Singapore Classic.

One of the many traditions at The Masters is watching the golfers attempt to skim the golf ball across the lake at the iconic 16th hole Augusta National during the practice rounds.

Ahead of the 2025 Porsche Singapore Classic played last week – eventually won by England’s Richard Mansell – a bunch of the pro golfers on the DP World Tour including Australian David Micheluzzi were asked to have a go at skimming the golf ball across the water at the iconic 17th hole island green at Laguna National.

And to give them a helping hand, a ramp was set up to navigate the wall that separates the green from the water.
