Watch Max Homa play and talk us through a golf hole at The Masters
This is not something we ever say about golf on TV, but this is fascinating and compelling to watch.
Masters’ broadcasters put a microphone on Max Homa while he played the par-4 14th hole at Augusta National during round 1 of the 2023 Masters Tournament.
Homa is a captivating watch and it’s not the first time he’s been mic’d up during a PGA Tour event. But at a tournament already at the top of the class for interactive broadcasting, this feels like The Masters has gone to another level.

Rory McIlroy also took part in a walk and talk on a day in which he again struggled to tame Augusta National.
