Tiger Woods is likely playing The Masters; the golf world and Augusta National react

Incredibly, Tiger Woods is out practising at Augusta National to see if he’s fit enough to play in The Masters.

Even this time last week, the idea that Tiger Woods would be playing in the 2022 Masters Tournament was ridiculous.

Having not played a golf tournament since his near-fatal car accident in February 2021, most of us were waiting for the announcement that he would be withdrawing his name from the field.

But when Friday came and went, the idea that we may see the 15-time major champion again stalking the fairways of Augusta National did not seem so fanciful. And when footage of Woods practising at his home golf course, The Medallist, the golf world got excited.

And now here we are, The Monday of Masters week and Tiger Woods looks like he will tee it up in his 24th Masters Tournament.

Tiger’s official Twitter account shared the not-so-secret news but it appears as though Woods will make sure his leg will be strong enough to walk for four days before completely committing to the event.

The team at Augusta National have captured Woods practising with a suitably, dreamy, dramatic video.

And the golf world reacted like this…
