Tiger Woods to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame

Tiger Woods will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021.

Tiger Woods is sitting out of this week’s PLAYERS Championship nursing yet another back injury but the 15-time major champion received some good news via a phone call from the PGA Tour.

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan rang Woods to tell him he had been the first member of the 2021 class to be elected.

And soon afterwards, Woods himself broke the news in an official statement:

“I am both honored and humbled to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. This past year has been such an incredible journey and the support I’ve received from my family, friends and fans has been overwhelming. This achievement is the ultimate recognition to never give up and keep chasing.”

More members of the 2021 Hall of Fame Class will be announced in the coming weeks.
