The recreation of lost Lido Golf Course looks amazing
The Adventures in Golf team have published a great feature on the holy grail of lost courses, the Lido Golf Course.
Erik and Skratch TV do a great job recounting the rise and fall of the old Lido Course and the incredible story behind its recreation in Sand Valley, Wisconsin by Tom Doak and Mike Keiser.
This is a mesmerising piece, particularly the details of the story behind the new techniques used to faithfully replicate the golf course. This wasn’t just a few golf architects playing around with a new golf course – this one involved a bunch of golf enthusiasts who were simply interested in golf history.
Watch it.
