Shared down the USGA YouTube Channel last month, the hour-long “A Wonder From Down Under” features all the thrilling moments from the 2006 US Open.
Ogilvy was magnificent down the stretch in a typically brutal US Open where bogeys were not uncommon. Ogilvy made clutch pars at each of the final four holes at Winged Foot to hold off a stumbling Colin Montgomerie and wayward Phil Mickelson.
Don’t skip to the tense finish straight away. The introduction is worth the watch just to hear what they used to do with all that dramatic music before Game of Thrones came along.
