Australian golfer Matt Griffin tweeted earlier today that play was suspended during the second round of the ANA Open in Sapporo, part of the Japan Golf Tour.

News reports suggest the missile came from somewhere near Pyongyang, flew over Japan into the Pacific Ocean.

Griffin was kind enough to chat a little more about the situation to the guys on SEN Radio this morning.

Several fellow Australian golfers including Brendan Jones and Brad Kennedy had already completed their seconds rounds before the alarm was sounded. Both Kennedy and Jones are well placed, just four behind the leader going into the weekend.
