Louis Oosthuizen celebrates grand slam of runners-up finishes with a lip-sync to “Rise Up”

This is hilariously self-deprecating stuff from South African Louis Oosthuizen after completing a career grand slam of second place finishes.

After a second place finish at the 2017 PGA Championship, Louis Oosthuizen realised he had just completed a career grand slam of runners-up finishes at all four major golf tournaments. So on the plane out of Charlotte he decided to celebrate by lip-syncing Andra Day’s Rise Up.

Oosthuizen other second place finishes at the majors? Oosthuizen lost the playoff to Bubba Watson at The Masters in 2012, finished in second place at the US Open at Chambers Bay behind Jordan Spieth and then lost out to Zach Johnson in the playoff (along with Marc Leishman) at the 2015 Open Championship at St Andrews.

  • I love Louis! It helps that I’m South African, but he’s got such a beautiful swing and such a good temperament on the course. I’m quite sure he was enjoying a few brandy and cokes before he filmed this one, maybe he was with Ernie on the private jet.

    Love it!
