Jordan Zunic wins 2015 BMW New Zealand Open: video highlights

A spectacular finish saw young Aussie Jordan Zunic win the 2015 BMW New Zealand Open at The Hills golf course in Queenstown.

Victorian David Bransdon produced a stunning back nine that included seven birdies to card an 8-under 64 and hold the clubhouse lead.

Needing a birdie on the closing hole to win, 24-year-old Zunic’s approach shot hit the flagstick before settling a few feet from the hole. Zunic calmly made the birdie putt for his first victory since turning professional in January.

The victory was made even more remarkable when you consider that Zunic’s career looked in jeopardy after he fractured his elbow in a horrific car accident in the US last year.

Zunic has been touted as a future star of Australian golf for some time now. The victory ensures his card on the PGA of Australia and several starts on the Japan Tour.

From what we know at Aussie Golfer, in addition to being a great talent, Zunic is also a great bloke and we couldn’t be happier to for him. This may well be the first of many professional victories.
