Jordan Spieth races out of the blocks at 2015 Masters: Round 1 video highlights

Jordan Spieth leads the 2015 Masters by three strokes after round one.

Jordan Spieth has raced out of the blocks to become the youngest ever opening round leader of the 2015 Masters Tournament.

The 21-year-old Australian Open champion fired an 8-under 64 to lead a pack of four players by three strokes including Australia’s Jason Day.

Spieth carded nine birdies with his only blemish coming at the par-5 15th hole when his second overshot the green leaving a tricky pitch back onto the green.

Jason Day looked like joining Spieth in the clubhouse at 8-under when he reeled off five consecutive birdies to get to 6-under par through 16 holes. But a bogey at the difficult (Eisenhower Tree-less) 17th hole saw Day drop back into a tie for second place along side Justin Ros, Charley Hoffman and Ernie Els.

John Senden surprised most golf experts by shooting a solid 1-under par 71. Adam Scott carded an even par round with Geoff Ogilvy needing a good second round after finishing 2-over for the day.
