Is this one incredible golf bet or just a clever marketing ploy?

Did one lucky punter really just convert $1 into almost $700k on one crazy golf bet?

We’ve been musing over this one for a bit before posting as we’re really not convinced this golf bet is for real.

If so, some lucky punter just converted $1 into $679,894.66 on the back of successfully predicting the result of 20 head-to-head golf match-ups at the BMW PGA Championship last weekend. We’re guessing it was the result of a stack of similar $1 bets covering the result of the same 2-balls.

If not, it’s one clever marketing ploy, that at the very least, got our attention enough to post about it! Well played either way.
