One whacky highlight from the US PGA Championship you may have missed was this one from Australia’s Matt Jones.

Australia’s Matt Jones sent a wayward shot on the par-3 11th hole during his third round at the US PGA Championship but it got a lucky break off the rocks and ricocheted onto the green. Jones missed the birdie putt but after that tee shot, he would have been pleased to settle for par.

Jones is playing some great golf on the PGA Tour but struggled a little at Oak Hill last week. He played good enough golf to make the cut and finish in a tie for 63rd but Jones would be a little disappointed considering his recent good form.

Jones has notched up three top-1o finishes this year, all coming in his last six events. He is currently placed 51st on the FedEx Cup standings.
