Huge downpour sees fish swimming down the fairway at Cairns Golf Club
Cairns copped lashing in the early hours of Monday morning with over 120mm of rain falling between midnight and 9am.
Not surprisingly flash flooding was ubiquitous and local rivers breached their banks causing a torrent of new rivers in the surrounding region.
One new river formed down the fairway of the 8th hole at Cairns Golf Club and with it came some of its gill-breathing inhabitants.
Several large fish can be seen swimming down the fairway in this video posted by the Cairns Golf Club.
