Hannah Green ties second as Jin Young Ko wins LPGA Tour championship: video highlights

Korea’s Jin Young Ko has taken out the final LPGA tournament of 2020 with a dominant five-stroke victory at the CME Group Tour Championship.

Ko was never challenged over the final round posting a 6-under 66 to cruise to her seventh LPGA win, take home over US$1million in prize money and secure her status as the world’s number one ranked golfer.

Australia’s Hannah Green finished in a tie for second place with Korea’s Sei Young Kim.

Green’s bogey-free 5-under par final round came on her 24th birthday to take home over US$500,000.

“It’s funny, I actually felt like I left a lot out there, too. Had a couple putts that could have dropped. Then again, I holed some really good putts, too,” Green said after her round.

“Yeah, super stoked to have a great round on my birthday.”

After a difficult, interrupted season, emotions overflowed as the West Australian in tears as she rolled in her final putt for the year.

“It’s going to be different having to do FaceTime for Christmas and everything, but I’m definitely counting down when you want to go home.”
