Golf, Nature, and the Road to Brisbane: Gumtree Golf Has Me Confused (and Intrigued)
Every now and then I find something in the golf world that stops me in my tracks—and leaves me scratching my head. This is one of those moments.
I stumbled across a video on YouTube from something called Gumtree Golf & Nature Club, and honestly, I’m still scratching my head.
Their website states that they’re a golf lifestyle brand based in New York, blending golf, nature, and design. But then there’s this short film series—“The Long Road to Brisbane”—apparently sponsored by BMW, following a journey up the Australian coastline to Royal Queensland for the Australian PGA Championship.
Episode 1, titled “Patience”, kicks off in Tasmania with sweeping coastal shots, quiet golf moments, and reflections on nature. It’s beautifully shot, almost meditative, but I can’t quite figure out what it is. A brand campaign? A travel diary? A golf documentary? Maybe all three.
Whatever the intention, it’s intriguing. If you’re curious, check out Episode 1 below and let me know what you think.
Is this the future of golf storytelling, or just a stylish detour?

I was thinking about this and came across your blog discussing it. It is impressive, and it is opened my eyes and provided some ideas on the subject. Thank you for writing such an interesting piece. https://internet-installation.onrender.com
