Golfers challenged to hit hickory golf clubs at Scottish Open
The best in the game were asked to hit a small golf ball with some hickory golf clubs at the Scottish Open.
The likes of Patrick Reed, Rickie Fowler, Rafa Cabrero-Bello and Padraig Harrington were challenged to a nearest the pin challenge at the 178-yard par-3 12th hole at Gullane Golf Club prior to the start of the Scottish Open a few weeks ago.
The hickory shafts and small golf ball seemed to put a few of these guys off before they even hit it, but as true professionals, most of them didn’t take like to get dialed in.
Wouldn’t it be great to see a full hickory tournament played out with a full professional field?
