Golfer tragically killed by falling tree branch

A freak accident has seen a golfer die after a being hit by a falling tree branch.

Some incredibly tragic news came through late yesterday of a golfer being killed by a falling tree branch while playing at Mollymook Golf Club in New South Wales.

According to reports, the sound of the falling tree branch was heard around the course and the 50-year-old man died despite efforts by his playing partners and paramedics.

The other players aided the man until help arrived and paramedic performed CPR, but the man died at the scene.

Officers from South Coast Police District have established a crime scene, which will be examined by forensic police.

Such an incredible, freak accident. Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends.
