The controlled hook shot can be used when you want to bite off a little more when trying to get out of trouble. But as Fitzy says, don’t do it unless you know you can hit it – don’t just hope you can hit it.
I find myself 3 or 4 times a round needing this hook shot. Personally I punch out or a straight shot out into the fairway since I don’t have that shot in my bag. But after watching your video, I’m inclined to try your hook shot the next time I go out. My wife and I both watched this video and can’t wait to try it out.
