Get a grip on the best way to hold a golf club
Should you be using the Baseball, Interlock or Vardon golf grip?
I remember my first few golf lessons were almost exclusively made up of getting my golf grip right. As a junior, it was always about the interlock grip and was the most accepted way to hold a golf club – at least in the 80s and 90s.
I can’t help but feel the consensus among pros has softened a little over the years with plenty of examples of good golfers using all three different grips.
Brian Fitzgerald takes us through all three golf grips; the Baseball, Interlock and Vardon golf grip, and the pros and cons for each. I also know it feels very, very weird to change your grip in any way.
So listen to the Golf Doctor, hit the range and find the best one for you.
