FedEx Cup: Only two Aussies left

Columbia’s very own Spiderman, Camilo Villegas won the 3rd FedEx Cup playoff tournament on the weekend. His first ever on the PGA Tour. He’s played some awesome golf this year and will win many more tournaments. Disappointingly, there’s only two Aussies left to play the last tournament in 2 weeks time, Robert Allenby and Stuart Appleby. Neither have done anything amazing this year by their standards but they’ve been fairly consistent. Geoff Ogilvy played his way out of the final 30 players to qualify last weekend. All up it’s been a bad year for the Aussies on tour.
The format of the playoffs has caused some controversy this year after the PGA Tour tweaked with the points allocation system to cause greater volatility on the leaderboard. It’s been somewhat successful in that regard but Vijay Singh only has to stay on course for 72 holes for the final tournament to win the Cup. Winning the first two playoff tournaments means he should win the Cup but it’s meant the last round, played after this week’s Ryder Cup is one big anti-climax.

Well it seems stupid that you can win the third of four events but know that you can’t win the whole things as in Villegas case, but if Aussie Golfer missed it, here is what Geoff Ogilvy thinks

I said it twice to get my point across!!
I knid of agree with what he has to see. Something seems amiss with it all but all the same, he played crap. He has for a while and when you play crap and say something along those lines, one can’t help but think there’s some sour grapes in the barrel.
“What he has to see???” that sounds Scottish….I meant, what he had to say.
