Check out these great archive videos from the Australian Open

With the 2015 Emirates Australian Open under three weeks away (Nov 26 – 29), you should check out these great videos from past Australian Open’s.

Golf Australia have uploaded videos from some past Australian Open’s; including victories from some of the greatest golfers of all time – Greg Norman, Gary Player, Peter Thomson and of course Jordan Spieth’s phenomenal Australian Open win last year.

Greg Norman’s one stroke victory the Australian Open at The Lakes in 1980 is great to watch (see video above). Norman’s clutch par putt on the par-3 18th was superb and his desire to win the first of five Australian Open’s is obvious to see as he managed to get home in front of Brian Jones and David Graham.

Love hearing Peter Thomson’s commentary too.

The four-hole playoff battle between Greg Norman and Lee Westwood for the 1997 Australian Open at Metropolitan makes for fantastic viewing. Westwood will return to play the Australian Open this year for the first time since this dramatic victory.

The first of Aaron Baddeley’s consecutive Australian Open victories is also there. The final round of highlights of his two-stroke win over Greg Norman at Royal Sydney is worth watching again.

There are plenty more great videos to watch over at Golf Australia’s YouTube channel including Peter Thomson’s win at Commonwealth Golf Club in 1967 and Gary Player winning at Kooyonga Golf Club in 1958. Check them out.
