Braithe Anasta set for NSW PGA Championship
The NSW PGA Championship continues the Australasian PGA Tour at the Wollongong Golf Club this weekend.
If you’re neat The Gong this week, there’s plenty of great golfers in the field such as Craig Parry, last week’s WA Open winner Roahn Blizard, OneAsia order of merit leader Andre Stolz and last year’s winner, Steven Bowditch.
There is also a celebrity golfer in the field, Sydney Roosters captain Braithe Anasta.
Anasta plays off a handicap of +1 at his home club of St.Michael’s after playing daily since footy season finished. He has made no secret of his desire to become a professional golfer as he played in plenty of junior tournaments alongside Aaron Baddeley and Adam Scott, but could never quite compete with the best players.
There is no doubt he can perform under pressure on the footy field, we’ll know this weekend if he is capable on the golf course too.
