Bill Murray Goes ‘Off Course’ in New Irish Golf Adventure

Bill Murray is taking his love of golf to Ireland in Off Course, a new six-part travel series blending golf, humor, and Irish culture for Paramount+ and the BBC.

Bill Murray is taking his love of golf on the road in a new six-part series, Off Course, coming soon to Paramount+ and the BBC. The show follows Murray across Ireland—both north and south—where he’ll play some of the island’s most stunning courses and soak up its legendary hospitality.

“I started out caddying, and golf was the best education I ever received,” Murray says. “Ireland feels like the right place to put all that to work. They’ve got this wonderful word there, ‘craic,’ which means fun, but it means a lot of other things. A lot of good things. And this show will be about us finding it.”

Murray is joined by Tom Coyne, author of A Course Called Ireland, along with family and celebrity friends. Expect a mix of golf, travel, and plenty of Murray’s trademark humour as they explore the culture and characters that make Ireland a bucket-list destination for golfers.

Off Course will feature six 30-minute episodes and stream on Paramount+, as well as air on BBC Two, BBC One Northern Ireland, and BBC iPlayer.

We’re not entirely sure how different it will be to this previous incarnation of golf across Ireland with Mark Coyne, produced a few years ago now.
