2011 Australian Open: Tickets on sale to see Tiger and co.

The 2011 Australian Open is shaping up to be one of the best ever and tickets have just gone on sale.

“Unmissable” is the way organisers of the 2011 Australian Open have decided to tag the event, and they aren’t too far from the truth. Any golf fan would be crazy to miss this one with plenty of big names already signed up to play at The Lakes Golf Club, November 10 – 13, 2011.

See Australian Open ticket prices below.

Jason Day is making his first appearance on Australian soil as a professional with big name and big hitting Americans Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson set to join him.

Word on the street is that Rickie Fowler is also set to confirm his appearance. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see a few other American big names announced in the field over the next few months. Not to mention some of the other International stars who will be in the Presidents Cup team.

Adam Scott has also decided to play rather than defend his Singapore Open title which is being played the same week. Last year’s winner Geoff Ogilvy will be playing alongside Greg Norman.

Tiger Woods will also be teeing it up at The Lakes. Remember him? It will be his first appearance in Sydney since he played the Australian Open in 1996 when he finished fifth behind winner Greg Norman. Hasn’t a lot happened since then?

  • I can’t wait to attend. Hopefully we can get a lot more international players for our events on a more regular basis. Those going, make sure you watch Dustin Johnson hit a drive or too. It’s amazing how far this guy actually hits the ball.
