To get the ball rolling, here’s a few facts about the Australian Masters and a few things recent and not so recent quotes.

  • I’m curious, Michael… is Craig Parry scheduled to compete? I really enjoy watching him play, but he doesn’t play the PGA Tour anymore.

If he is playing, I can finally see him again on Golf Channel! (They’re carrying the tourney as part of their “Tiger World Tour” promo.)

  • He is Mike. He’s always a chance actually. He’s been playing in Asia a lot more this year after deciding it was closer to home and easier to get back to his family in between tournaments.

  • I hope tiger can perform better than when we had him in NZ for our national open. It would be a shame to get him all the over to our part of the world and then have him not playing his best.

  • Can someone get Eddie McGuire out of the commentary box, he clearly knows nothing about golf and every time I tune in is going on about crowd sizes and scheduling… Keeps palming it off to guests to talk in detail about the next shot, but they’re hardly natural presenters.

  • please ! please ! Get Eddie off the Golf Coverage, I am actually having anxiety yelling attacks at the t. v. as I listen to the rubbish commentary coming from Eddie, Stick to the Footy Ed! He is so annoying !

  • i truly admire tiger woods skills. he is pure genius in golf shots but lately my amusement in watching him play in tournaments is nothing to do with golf anymore. it’s pure entertainment for me now watching him losing his temper, swearing, spitting, throwing his clubs, banging his putter etc. BUT!!!! no commentators have ever commented about his negative behaviour. I know he is golf god but i’m sure they are not in tiger’s payroll. correct me if i am wrong. and by the way…..no disrespect to anybody who compete in the tournament but tiger won australian masters because all the big guns were competing in hongkong.

  • I didn’t get to see any channel 9 coverage but no doubt would have hated seeing Eddie McGuire running the show.

Tiger’s club throwing did get a bit of stick about his stick throwing this weekend and you’re right – it wasn’t the best field he’s ever competed against and the few Aussie big guns weren’t firing this week.
