Augusta National Floods: Iconic 12th Hole Ravaged by Flash Storms

UPDATE: There is some confusion as to when this video footage was originally taken. And as you cannow see, all instances of the flooding have been removed from social media including the original post on TikTok.

The footage has been confirmed to have been taken after the floods in the area in 2024.

In a shocking turn of events, Augusta National Golf Club — home to the revered Masters Tournament — has suffered significant damage following flash floods that swept through Georgia.

Dramatic new footage reveals the iconic par-3 12th hole, part of the legendary Amen Corner, nearly unrecognisable as water surged across the fairways and bunkers, washing away turf and reshaping the landscape. The usually serene Rae’s Creek transformed into a torrent, breaching its banks.

While many initially believed the footage was taken during the cyclone that swept through the region in September 2024, it has since been confirmed that the video was captured just last Sunday in August 2025.

The 12th hole — often a pivotal moment in Masters history — now faces a massive restoration effort ahead of next year’s tournament. Augusta National has yet to release an official statement, but given its reputation for pristine conditions and rapid recovery, experts expect the course to be fully restored in time.
