7 Mile Beach Golf Officially Opens Thursday After Years in the Making
After years of anticipation, Tasmania’s 7 Mile Beach Golf Course is set to welcome the public for the first time this Thursday.
Australia’s most anticipated golf course development in over a decade is set to officially open its doors to the public this Thursday.
The 7 Mile Beach Golf Course, located just outside Hobart, Tasmania, will welcome its first golfers after years of planning and construction.
The announcement was made via Instagram, accompanied by aerial drone footage showcasing the striking coastal layout. The course has attracted significant attention for its natural setting, links-style design and proximity to the city of Hobart.
In the Instagram post, course owner and former professional golfer Mat Goggin said:
“I couldn’t be prouder of the job @claytondevriespont and @tooey_toogood_ have done bringing #7mb to life. The crew and contractors have done an amazing job. Thursday is day 1 in what is really day 5300 since I first emailed @mike_clayton_golf to come down to Hobart and check out this piece of land I thought had some promise… The course is going to blow people away – our job is to make sure the whole experience blows you away.”
The site, developed in collaboration with course architects Clayton, DeVries & Pont, is expected to become a key destination in Australia’s growing portfolio of acclaimed golf venues. And like you and countless other Australian golfers, we simply can’t wait to go see this place for ourselves.
