2009 Australian Masters on TV
It is going to be a hot weekend in Melbourne with thunderstorms forecast for Sunday. If you don’t have a ticket to the Australian Masters, can’t make it to Melbourne or just looking to take in the action on the box here is what you need to know.
All four rounds of the 2009 Australian Masters are live on FoxSports and Channel Nine here in Australia this week. FoxSports brings with it a full interactive telecast along with live internet streaming from the 15th hole at Kingston Heath.

Why on earth are channel 9 using Mark Nicholas and Eddie Maguire as golf commentators?
The Australian Masters TV commentary was excessive. Radio is about drawing word pictures. Audiences prefer to watch uninterrupted televised action pictures.Mssrs Baker – Finch, Newton and McGuire often gabbled across action scenes while players were playing their shots. Apart from being distracting it is also bad manners. Less is more in Televised golf commentary. As a television sports commentator Richie Benaud(cricket) has the recipe about right! Take note Channel 9 and friends.
