Year in review: The 10 best golf videos of 2015

It’s that time of the year (read: slow golf news) when we look back at the best and worst of golf in 2015.

We’ll check out the best and worst moments in golf for 2015 later in the week, but lets kick things off with our favourite golf videos of 2015. Some of them are more ‘golf related’ than others.

The lads from How Ridiculous kicked things off with this ridiculous underwater hole-in-one.

Sergio Garcia made this unlikely par during his round at Riviera but the pick of the golf shots early in 2015 was the amazing albatross hole-in-one from Richard Green during the Victorian Open pro-am at Thirteenth Beach.

Francesco Molinari made a hole-in-one at the famous 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale that had the crowd throwing beer cans, Paula Creamer made a huge putt in high heels but then this stunning video came along of these blokes playing golf on the icebergs of Lake Michigan.

An ‘over the shoulder’ golf trick shot was cool, and Bubba Watson showed us what to expect on the greens ahead of the US Open at Chambers Bay but we particularly liked this amazing frisbee golf hole-in-one and the passionate celebration that followed.

Kangaroos abounded in golf videos in 2015 from this bunker shot over a big kangaroo to this one interrupting Daniel Popovic’s practice session. But when we shared this video of an angry ‘roo chasing these golfers off the golf course, it soon went viral. Classic stuff.

Two must-watch mini-documentary videos popped up online late in the year. The first one we was from the Film Australia Collection giving an overview of golf in Australia in 1968.

Then came this fascinating, revealing insight into the life of Jason Day. Absolute must-watch.

Shane Warne’s golf shot from the stands beside the 17th Road Hole at St Andrews was a laugh, and these red belly black snakes fighting it out got a few of us squirming in our seats, but the prize for the most patient golfer of the year went to Matt Kuchar who waited and waited before the wind pushed his ball into the hole at the Fiji Open.

After Matt Jones won a dramatic Australian Open, this video of a young Jones meeting his childhood idol Greg Norman surfaced online.

The PGA Tour always offers up some great golfing highlights throughout the year but we particularly liked the one where Presidents Cup hero Bill Haas completely obliterates a bush when he hits his golf ball during the season ending Hero World Challenge event.
