Trevino, Ballesteros, Aoki and Faldo: One Club Challenge

A look back at some of the legends of golf taking part in a one club challenge.

After yesterday’s serious article, I thought it wise to bring the fun back to Aussie Golfer today, courtesy of this old video featuring Seve Ballesteros, Lee Trevino, Isao Aoki and Nick Faldo.

It’s an episode of the ‘One Club Challenge’ which was a full series featured on TV (probably on the BBC) in the early 1980s. This one is filmed at St.Andrews soon after Ballesteros won The Open there in 1984.

Trevino is of course always entertaining but particularly loved his remark early in the piece:

“If I could just get to mark this ball another couple of times, I would have a gimme”.
