Tom Doak sits down to chat to Erik Anders Lang: video

I was going to preface this one with “One for the golf architecture nerds”, but I think many golfers will get something out of Erik Anders Lang’s informal chat with golf course designer Tom Doak.

Doak is one of the great golf courses designers of our time having designed Barnbougle Dunes with Mike Clayton, Cape Kidnappers, Tara Iti, Pacific Dunes at Bandon Dunes, and the new Gunnamatta course at The National.

Doak’s always a joy to listen to and it’s no different here. The story of the reversible golf course, The Loop at Forets Dunes is particularly riveting.

Watch and listen. As I’ve learned, golf is great. But golf and a love of golf architecture are fantastic.
