The greatest feature on Miguel Ángel Jiménez that you’ll ever read

Any article on Miguel Ángel Jiménez is worth a read. But this one should not be missed.

It’s hard to dislike, or even disagree with Miguel Ángel Jiménez. Maybe Keegan Bradley does but not many others would.

The Spaniard has a positive, frank and warm outlook on life that is infectious, and he is only too aware of the role that professional golf has played in bringing him the good life he so passionately embraces.

Alan Shipnuck penned a piece on Jiménez that was published at Golf.com last week. Like any piece featuring quotes from Jiménez, it’s going to be good.

But this one is very good – for instance, it begins like this:

“Miguel, would you like some water?”

“My friend, water is for fish.”

He pours himself a tall glass of 10-year-old Bushmills whiskey.

“Don’t forget—your tee time is in 18 hours.”

Jiménez, 51, arches an eyebrow but says nothing. He opens a small metal case and produces a Cuban cigar, which he fires up with gusto.
